blame it on the beat, don't blame it on me- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - It was eight o’clock at night and Kara was alone at Lizzy’s. Being one of the most dedicated dancers, she was close with the teacher and that got her special privileges. One of those privileges included getting private rehearsal time whenever she wanted. It didn’t have to be for anything in particular. In this case, Kara was here for the need to dance privately; to let her mind wander and just let her feet move to the rhythm. This was something she loved to do. Although she wished Shane was here with her. He was an amazing dancer. She loved having him by her side as her partner.
She walked over to the stereo and pushed play. A Lady Gaga song was on and she moved to the center of the floor. When the words started, Kara began to move. She just moved naturally with the beat. It was almost interpretative. Her style was a combination of things, but this was very traditional. Hip hop wasn’t possible for this song because it wasn’t fast enough. Nothing else fit. Kara loved it though. She found comfort in her dance. That was a natural feeling though. After all, it’s what she wanted to do for the rest of her life. - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - TAGS! --- i'll be there when you close your eyes ,. ( HOLD YOU TIGHT, SAY GOODNIGHT ) Shane had been working all day and in fifteen minutes, he would be able to leave. Shane definitely just wanted to go home and relax, today was a long day and he needed a shower and then some relaxing time. He stared up at the clock, hoping it would be 7:30 already. A customer had come in and Shane got to work and helped her out with finding what she needed. Shane finished up with her and then headed to the back room to clock out. He picked up his time card, clocked out and headed out the back doors
Tonight Shane had to walk home because his mother had taken his car for the day. Not that he minded. Shane took the box of cigarettes, took one out and put it in his mouth, put the box back in his pocket and then lit the cigarette. He took a slow drag from it as he started towards his house. The walk was kinda long and he wished he had someone to walk with or at least talk to. His cell had died an hour ago so he couldnt call anyone.
As he walked by Lizzy's, he saw a light on through one of the studio windows. He dropped the cigarette, crushed it and went around to the door. He pulled it, but it was locked. Shane took out his keys, unlocked the door and went in. He heard a song playing and he headed down the hall to the studio it was coming from. He looked in the door and saw Kara dancing, she was an amazing dancer and Shane smiled to himself. He walked in to the studio, over to the radio and put his stuff down."Hope you dont mind me intruding." he said with a smirk.

blame it on the beat, don't blame it on me- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - Kara was in the zone. Every move she made was perfectly executed and precise and none of it was planned out. Her eyes were closed as she danced. She loved improv. That was her favorite part of dance. She loved the freedom of being able to make steps and never be wrong. Sure, she was on the dance team and the cheerleading squad...and soccer and volleyball, which were kinda like dance…and those required actual routines, but it was necessary. You had to learn teamwork to be a good dancer and that was something Kara knew very well.
All of a sudden, she heard that magic voice and gasped. Her eyes opened and she fell down on her butt. Standing there next to the stereo was Shane. Butterflies entered her stomach. Had she embarrassed herself just now? “Shane,” she said, out of breath and surprised still. Kara did not get up. Quite frankly, she was too embarrassed at the moment. She’d just fallen on her butt in front of Shane. That was probably the worst thing ever. - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - TAGS! SHANEOUTFIT! BAMMNOTES! NONEMOOD! TIREDWORD COUNT! 176 CREDITS! --- i'll be there when you close your eyes ,. ( HOLD YOU TIGHT, SAY GOODNIGHT ) As Shane spoke, Kara fell on the floor. He couldnt help but to laugh. He knew exactly why she fell, but he wasnt going to make a big deal over it. She wanted him more than a friend, but he wasnt ready to take on anything as of now and definitely not with his best friend. If anything bad happened between them, he was afraid they wouldnt be talking after.
Shane bent down and helped Kara up. "Listen I know your head over heels for me, but you dont literally need to show me." he said with a joking smirk. He walked over to the radio. "I hope you dont mind me changing this, I want something different to listen to." Shane wanted something slower, something that he could dance with Kara to. Something that they could get close to, he may not want to be with her in a relationship, but he loved when they were close, physically and mentally.
Shane put in a CD and skipped up a few numbers. The song began and Shane walked over to Kara. He walked behind her and put his hand over he stomach and talked softly in her ear."Just go with it." he said. Just then he had realized what song was on and he smirked to himself. Way to go, he thought.

blame it on the beat, don't blame it on me- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - Okay, it wasn’t just embarrassing. It was beyond embarrassing. Shane came over to help Kara up and she took his hand. When she was up she acted like he was crazy. “Yeah,” she laughed sarcastically. “You wish. Sorry Shane, but I’m strictly professional. You of all people should know that by now.” She hated having to say those things. It was so painful inside. Yeah, he was right even though he was just teasing her. She was so stupid.
“Uh, I don’t mind.” Shane asked if she minded him changing it. Of course, she didn’t mind. It was Shane. Why would she? But when he came over and put his hand on her stomach, she felt a million butterflies stir inside. Oh, boy, she thought. “Uh, o-kay,” she replied when he told her to go with. That’s how she normally did things, by taking the long shot. - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - TAGS! SHANEOUTFIT! BAMMNOTES! NONEMOOD! TIREDWORD COUNT! 147 CREDITS! SAM-A-LAM LYRICS!
